I missed a few runs:
3/14: Albany OR to Bozeman MT was cancelled when I got to the shipper. Prime example of why I haven't been posting promptly on assignment!
3/14: Wilsonville OR to Seattle-Edmonds-Woodinville WA then return to origin. Direct store deliveries, driver unload (manual pallet jack). Told driver manager "I tried it, I don't like it, no more driver unloads." I'm a driver not a schlepper. The truck does the schlepping... (grin)
3/16: Lebanon OR to Livermore CA. Drop at store in same dock space. Drop full hook empty drop empty hook full drop full hook empty. It went astonishingly smoothly, and receiver complemented me, said in 11 years she's never seen someone hit the dock marks first try! I didn't reveal my secret is simply go slow and correct 200 times.
3/17: Santa Clara CA to Tempe AZ. After needing 40 minutes to back out of the too-small truck stop parking lot where I slept, I was pretty happy with managing a very tight dock with fences, trees, and cars at delivery! By george, I may be getting the hang of this! All that practice, rather, experience, is showing.
Now I head up to Las Vegas area where I'll take 34 hours off and restock for the next string of runs.
